Independence notice. openfront.app is an independent, non-commercial project operated by a private individual in France. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenFront.io, OpenFront LLC, OpenFront Inc., or any related entity. This service is an independent fork of an open-source project; the corresponding source code is publicly available at the repository linked from the home page.

openfront.app is provided as a non-commercial, hobby project on a strictly "as is" basis, with no warranty of any kind. The service is scheduled to be taken offline on 8 June 2026, on natural expiry of the openfront.app domain.

The code running this service is an independent fork of the open-source project OpenFrontIO and is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. The corresponding source code is available at the public repository linked from the home page. "OpenFront" and any related marks belong to their respective owners; references in this fork are nominative (for attribution) only.

4. User content

Any content you transmit through the service (game chat, usernames, etc.) remains your responsibility. Do not transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, or that infringes the rights of others. The operator may remove content or revoke access at its discretion.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by French law, the operator disclaims all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by French law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent French courts of the operator's domicile, to the extent permitted by applicable consumer protection rules.

These terms may be updated. Given the planned service shutdown on 8 June 2026, significant changes are unlikely.
